Tango is built to be private by default. Your data stays with you — there are no accounts, no servers we control, and nothing to sign up for.
What's stored
Your habits, routines, completion history, insights, and app settings are stored on your device.
Private iCloud sync
If iCloud sync is enabled, your data is synced privately through your personal iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. The developer does not have access to your habits, completion history, or other personal data.
Apple Health
If you turn on water logging for a habit, Tango adds a water entry to Apple Health when you complete that habit — and removes it if you undo. This only happens with your permission, which you can revoke any time in Settings. Tango never reads your health data, and nothing from Apple Health is collected or shared.
Apple Reminders
If you link a habit to an Apple Reminder, Tango accesses your reminders only to keep completion state in sync between the habit and its linked reminder. Reminder data stays on your device and is never collected or shared.
Backups and imports
Backups you export are files you control, saved where you choose. Importing a backup — including an import from Grit — happens entirely on your device.
No tracking, ever
Tango does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data collection services. No personal information is collected, transmitted, sold, or stored outside your device or private iCloud account.
